Hire AWS DevOps Engineers

Hire AWS DevOps engineers. Get a certified team, not a résumé pile.

You get a certified, founder-backed team that keeps your product shipping and online — not a stack of résumés to sift through and a single hire to gamble on. DevOps is the engineering discipline that keeps your application deploying, scaling, and staying up; we staff it with 100% AWS-certified engineers, with founder Jobin Joseph on every engagement. Hire them embedded in your team, as a squad, or on a monthly retainer — built to ISO 27001:2022 and AWS Advanced Tier standards.

What You're Actually Hiring

A certified team with founder oversight, not one person.

When you hire us you are not betting your infrastructure on a single individual's availability. This is the hire-intent counterpart to our guide for teams with no DevOps team at all — and for the full scope of what we run, see DevOps on AWS.

01 · A TEAM, NOT A PERSON

Certified people behind one point of contact

You get a named engineer you speak to every day, and a wider certified team behind them for cover, escalation, and second opinions. Holidays, illness, and busy weeks stop being risks to your production environment. Knowledge lives in documented runbooks, not in one person's head.

02 · FOUNDER OVERSIGHT

Jobin Joseph on every engagement

Founder Jobin Joseph is 5× AWS-certified and personally reviews the architecture and material decisions on your engagement — not a sales rep, not a junior account manager. The specialist on your intro call is the one who stands behind the delivery.

03 · CERTIFIED BY DEFAULT

100% AWS-certified, no exceptions

Every engineer we place holds current AWS certification — it is a requirement to join the team, not a badge a few people happen to have. HAZERCLOUD is an AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner, a status AWS grants only after validating certified staff and delivery. We are AWS-focused, and honest about it.

04 · PROVEN IN PRODUCTION

Work that has shipped, not slideware

The team you hire has a published production record: nine applications moved off Heroku in six weeks with zero outages, plus ISO-hardened builds and cost redesigns. You can read the write-ups before you commit. See the Heroku migration or browse all case studies.

Engagement Shapes

Three ways to hire the team.

Different teams need different commitment models. Hire an engineer embedded in your team, a ready-made squad for a bigger build, or reserved capacity on a monthly retainer. Every shape carries the same certified team and founder oversight.

Model 01 · Embedded

Engineer(s) inside your team

One or more AWS-certified engineers work as part of your team — in your Slack, your standups, and your sprints. They own the DevOps function alongside your developers and join your on-call rotation (the roster of who responds the moment production breaks, day or night) if you need it.

In your standups · aligned to your time zone
DevOps on AWS
Model 02 · Squad

A ready-made DevOps squad

Multiple certified engineers with architect oversight, dropped in as a unit for a bigger build, a migration, or a platform rebuild. You get a team that already works together and a founder steering the direction — without spending months assembling and vetting it yourself.

Team + architect · founder-steered delivery
Managed CloudOps
Model 03 · Retainer

Reserved monthly capacity

Predictable monthly hours with a response SLA and the same certified engineers retained across months. Ideal when you have an AWS environment that needs steady care and change requests shipped, but not a full-time hire. Scale the hours up or down as the roadmap moves.

Hiring Us vs Hiring In-House

The honest comparison, numbers included.

A single in-house hire is the obvious move — until you count the cost, the wait, and the risk of resting your whole platform on one person. Here is the trade-off, laid out plainly.

Hiring HAZERCLOUD

A certified team, live in weeks

  • A team, not a person. Named engineer plus certified backup — no single point of failure when someone is on leave or leaves for good.
  • Founder oversight included. Jobin Joseph, 5× AWS-certified, reviews the architecture and material decisions personally.
  • Certified from day one. 100% AWS-certified, AWS Advanced Tier Partner, ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 9001:2015 as standard.
  • Live in weeks, not months. No months-long recruitment cycle, no notice period, no onboarding a stranger to your stack.
  • Flexible commitment. Embedded, squad, or retainer on rolling terms — scale up or down as the roadmap changes.
A solo in-house hire

One person, and one point of failure

  • The maths rarely works. a senior DevOps hire typically costs £65k–95k in the UK, €70k–100k in the EU, or $120k–180k+ in the US per year in salary alone — before recruitment, tooling, on-call coverage, and the risk of a single point of failure.
  • Single point of failure. Holiday, illness, or a resignation and your entire infrastructure knowledge walks out of the door with them.
  • Months to hire. Sourcing, interviewing, offers, and notice periods stretch the wait long before any work ships.
  • One set of certifications. No second opinion, no architect to escalate to, no cover when the problem is outside their depth.
  • You carry the risk. If the hire is wrong, the cost, the delay, and the re-hire all land on you.
Our take: hire a person when you have the time, the budget, and the tolerance for key-person risk. Hire a certified team when you do not. Not sure which you need? Book a free intro call and we will tell you honestly — even if the answer is a full-time hire.
Our Vetting Standards

Every engineer clears the same bar.

Certification is the floor, not the finish line. Before an engineer joins a client engagement, they clear an AWS certification requirement and a structured, hands-on skills validation — so you are hiring proven judgement, not just a set of exam passes.

Founder Jobin Joseph reviews the work personally, and because HAZERCLOUD is ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 9001:2015 certified, the same access-control and quality discipline applies to how we vet and place people.

Meet the team on a call →
  • AWS certification required: current AWS certification is a condition of joining the team, not an optional extra a few people hold.
  • Structured skills validation: scenario-based, hands-on assessment of real AWS and DevOps work — not a résumé skim or a whiteboard quiz.
  • Founder review: Jobin Joseph (5× AWS-certified) reviews architecture and material decisions on every engagement.
  • Security by default: least-privilege access, credential control, and audit trails under our ISO 27001:2022 certification.
  • Client interview and sign-off: you interview and approve the engineer before an embedded or squad engagement begins.
  • Documented handover: runbooks and context are captured so cover and continuity never depend on one individual.
How Onboarding Works

From intro call to shipping, week by week.

No drawn-out procurement, no mystery about who does what. Here is how a typical embedded or squad hire ramps up — most teams see their first change ship inside the first fortnight.

WEEK 0 · INTRO & FIT

Meet, interview, agree the fit

A free intro call with founder Jobin Joseph to scope the work, then you meet and interview the engineer (or squad) who will actually do it. We sign your NDA, agree the shape and the working hours, and confirm the fit before anything starts.

Founder callInterviewNDA signed
WEEK 1 · ACCESS & CONTEXT

Least-privilege access, full context

The engineer is granted least-privilege access, walks your environment with your team, and reads (or writes) the runbooks. We map the current state and agree the highest-leverage first task — so week two is delivery, not discovery.

Scoped accessEnvironment reviewFirst task agreed
WEEK 2 · FIRST SHIP

First changes in production

The engineer is in your standups, shipping the first agreed changes, and the feedback loop is live. You are working with a known, certified individual — with the wider team and the founder behind them for review and escalation.

ONGOING · CADENCE

Weekly reviews, scale as needed

Weekly reviews with founder attendance, documented handovers so nothing lives in one head, and the freedom to scale the engagement up or down as the roadmap moves. Start with one engineer and grow into a squad, or dial a retainer to match demand.

Common Questions

Book a call →
Can I interview the engineer before we start?+
Yes — we expect it. Before any embedded or squad engagement begins, you interview the engineer (or engineers) who will actually do the work: the same people who show up on day one, not a polished salesperson you never see again. Founder Jobin Joseph joins the introduction, and you approve the fit before anything starts.
What if it's not working out?+
You are never locked into a person who is not the right fit. If an engineer is not working out we replace them, at our cost, with a documented handover so context is not lost. Because Jobin Joseph is on every engagement and the wider certified team backs each role, a change of individual does not mean a loss of momentum. Retainers and squads run on rolling terms, so you can scale down or pause with notice.
How do time zones work?+
We work in your overlap window. Our team gives roughly 09:00 to 16:00 GMT of coverage for UK and EU clients and 11:00 to 16:00 AEST for Australian clients, and for embedded engagements we align working hours to your team's primary time zone. Standups, reviews, and planning all happen in those overlap hours, so you are never waiting a day for a reply.
How do you handle IP and NDAs?+
All work product and intellectual property is yours — we assign it to you in the contract. We sign your NDA before any access is granted, and if you do not have one we provide a mutual NDA to start from. HAZERCLOUD is ISO 27001:2022 and ISO 9001:2015 certified, so least-privilege access, credential control, and audit trails are how we operate by default, not a paid add-on.
Are your engineers really 100% AWS-certified?+
Yes. Every engineer we place on an engagement holds current AWS certification — it is a hiring requirement, not a nice-to-have. Founder Jobin Joseph is 5× AWS-certified and reviews the work personally, and HAZERCLOUD is an AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner, a status AWS only grants after validating certified staff and proven customer delivery.
How is this different from hiring a DevOps engineer in-house?+
A solo in-house hire is one person, one set of certifications, and a single point of failure — if they are on holiday, off sick, or they leave, your infrastructure knowledge walks out with them. With us you get a certified team with founder oversight and documented runbooks, live in weeks rather than the months a recruitment cycle takes. For context, a senior DevOps hire typically costs £65k–95k in the UK, €70k–100k in the EU, or $120k–180k+ in the US per year in salary alone — before recruitment, tooling, on-call coverage, and the risk of a single point of failure.
How much does it cost to hire your team?+
It depends on the shape and size of the engagement — embedded, squad, or retainer — so we share full pricing on the first call. There is no gated discovery and no surprise invoice: you get a real number against your actual scope, not a range scraped from a website.
Can we start small and scale up?+
Yes. Many clients start with a single embedded engineer or a short retainer to prove the model, then scale into a full squad as the roadmap grows. Because the same certified team and founder oversight carry across every shape, scaling up never means re-explaining your environment to a new set of people.
