DevOps Services for Australia

DevOps for Australian scale-ups.

HAZERCLOUD builds and runs CI/CD pipelines, containers on ECS and EKS, and infrastructure as code on AWS for Australian scale-ups. We are an AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner and ISO 27001:2022 certified, with the compliance depth that local generalists rarely carry. Delivered remotely from India with Australian-workday overlap, and 24/7 on-call cover through CloudOps for operations. We do not run a local office, and we say so.

What We Deliver

DevOps that stays boring.

Pipelines that deploy on their own, containers sized to the job, infrastructure your team can read in git. The goal is production that does not wake anyone up.

01 · PIPELINES

CI/CD done properly

GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline, wired to AWS with OIDC so there are no long-lived keys sitting in your repo. Builds, tests and deploys run on every push, with the promotion gates and rollbacks your team can inspect. This is the core of our AWS DevOps practice.

02 · CONTAINERS

ECS and EKS, honestly chosen

We run ECS on Fargate for most scale-ups and EKS when you genuinely need Kubernetes. We give you honest ECS-vs-EKS guidance up front rather than defaulting to whichever is fashionable, then build and operate whichever fits.

03 · INFRA AS CODE

Terraform, review-gated

Your infrastructure lives in Terraform, versioned in git, with every change going through review before it touches production. No click-ops, no drift, no undocumented resources. When something changes, the history says who, what and why.

04 · OBSERVABILITY & COST

See it, size it

CloudWatch dashboards, alarms and logs so you know what production is doing before your users do. On the cost side we right-size compute, tune autoscaling and put Savings Plans to work, so the bill reflects what you actually run.

Why Australian Companies Use Us

What you get, and what we are not.

The honest version, because that is what an Australian buyer is really weighing up. Engineering depth and compliance on one side, no pretend local presence on the other.

What you get

Advanced Tier engineering, compliance depth

  • AWS Advanced Tier engineering. A certified team building on AWS every day, not generalists learning it on your project.
  • Compliance depth. Essential Eight, IRAP and APRA awareness that local generalists rarely carry, backed by our own ISO 27001:2022 certification.
  • A cost advantage. Our rates sit below a Sydney or Melbourne agency for the same AWS engineering.
  • Workday overlap. The AU afternoon overlaps India core hours, so standups and reviews fit the Australian workday, roughly 11:00 to 16:00 AEST.
  • Proof on record. We delivered cost optimization and database modernization for an Adelaide client, who left a five-star Clutch review; it is written up in our case study, within that scope only.
What we are not

No pretend local presence

  • Not a local agency. We are not a locally-headquartered Australian agency, and we will not pretend to be one.
  • No local office. We do not run an Australian office and we do not list a local phone number, because we do not have either.
  • Remote delivery. Work is delivered remotely with Australian-workday overlap, not from a desk in your CBD.
  • Operations covered. For 24/7 needs, on-call cover runs through our CloudOps service rather than a night shift in Australia.
If a remote AWS team with real compliance depth beats a local generalist for your workload, start on our AWS in Australia page, then bring the specifics to a scoping call. We would rather tell you honestly where we fit than oversell a local presence we do not have.
Selling to Government

Get ready for Australian government.

If you are selling to Australian federal or state government, Essential Eight and IRAP alignment stop being optional. We architect and align your AWS environment to both. We are not the assessor; we get you ready for one.

Essential Eight

Hardened to the Eight

We align your AWS environment to the ACSC Essential Eight mitigation strategies, mapping each control to how it is implemented and hardening the account so the maturity level you claim is the one you can evidence.

Essential Eight
IRAP

Ready for assessment

For workloads heading into an IRAP assessment, we architect the AWS environment to the controls an assessor will look for and assemble the evidence, so the formal assessment has something solid to review.

IRAP-ready AWS
Honest scope

We align, we do not sign off

To be clear about the line: we architect and align AWS environments to Essential Eight and IRAP, and we produce the evidence. The formal assessment is carried out by an independent assessor, not by us. We prepare you for it; we do not grade it.

Engagement Models

Three ways to work with us.

Different teams need different commitments. These mirror our full DevOps service: pick the one that fits, and move between them as your needs change.

PROJECT

Fixed scope

A defined deliverable with a clear start and finish: a pipeline built, a workload containerised, an environment hardened. Not on-call by default. Ideal when you know the outcome you want and want it done properly, then handed over with runbooks.

RETAINER

Ongoing support

A monthly retainer for continuous change requests and improvements, with response SLAs during business hours. Best when your platform keeps evolving and you want a team on hand without hiring a full-time DevOps function.

EMBEDDED

Part of your team

We work as part of your team, in your standups and your Slack, and adjust to your primary time zone. This is the closest thing to hiring, without the hiring. 24/7 response is available through our CloudOps service when operations need it.

Common Questions

DevOps in Australia, answered.

If your question is not here, ask it on the call. We would rather scope honestly than win the work and disappoint you later.

Do you provide AWS consultants for Sydney companies?+
Yes, remotely. We provide AWS and DevOps consultants to Sydney companies, delivered from India with Australian-workday overlap. You get the same team and the same process whether you are in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide. What we do not do is claim a local Sydney office, because we do not run one.
How do time zones work with an India-based team?+
The Australian business day overlaps our core hours in the late morning and afternoon, roughly 11:00 to 16:00 AEST, and that is when standups and reviews are scheduled. For anything time-critical during a release or an incident, 24/7 on-call cover is available through our CloudOps service for operations. The overlap is materially better than a US-based partner and does not depend on anyone working through the night.
Can you help us meet Essential Eight or IRAP?+
We architect and align your AWS environments to Essential Eight and IRAP: mapping controls, hardening the account, and producing the evidence an assessor expects. The formal assessment itself is carried out by an independent assessor, not by us. We get you ready for it; we are not the assessor and we do not sign off on it.
Should we use ECS or EKS?+
Honest answer: ECS for most scale-ups. ECS on Fargate gives you containers without a control plane to babysit, and it is enough for the majority of teams. EKS is the right call when you genuinely need Kubernetes, for example portability across clouds, a large platform team, or ecosystem tools that assume Kubernetes. We deliver both and will tell you which one fits, rather than defaulting to the fashionable answer.
What engagement models do you offer?+
Three. Project is a fixed scope with a defined deliverable, not on-call by default. Retainer is ongoing work with response SLAs during business hours. Embedded is where we work as part of your team and adjust to your primary time zone, with 24/7 response available via CloudOps. Most teams start with a project and move to a retainer or embedded model once they see the result.
What does DevOps support cost?+
Honest answer: it depends on scope. Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute scoping call, and we share full pricing before any commitment. There is no gated discovery. The call gives you a real number, not a range from a website.
