Open a terminal and type:

2. Install LibreOffice via PPA
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa
sudoapt-get update
sudoapt-getinstall libreoffice
sudoapt-get update
sudoapt-getinstall libreoffice
**Note**: *The version listed in the PPA is still RC4, but it is exactly the same as the final version. *
Those who are using Gnome can install the Gnome package for better backend integration
sudoapt-getinstall libreoffice-gnome
To enable PDF import capability:
sudoapt-getinstall libreoffice-pdfimport
To enable English spellcheck capability
sudoapt-getinstall language-support-en
